Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Program
The main objective of this course is to provide students with the basic elements of public law. In
particular, at the end of the lessons any student will be able to orient him or herselves in the system of
sources of law, to understand the functioning of the constitutional bodies and authorties, and to
identify the fundamental principles of the Italian legal system.
Course Program
- Preliminary Notions: what is law, what is the legal system, what is the State;
- The Parliament, the Government, the President of the Republic;
- The Italian Sources of Law System;
- Fundamental Principles: Fundamental Rights, binding duties, principle of equality.

Didactic methods
The lessons will be mainly traditional lessons. Compatibly with the attitudes of the students, some lessons could illustrate examples and concrete cases.
Learning assessment procedures
Oral Examination
Evaluation criteria
Understanding the topics covered in class is the most important element of the assessment. The memorization of articles or statutory provisions is not required.
