The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Learning objectives

The course aims to provide students with the knowledge, under a preventive and educational point of view, of the main biopsychosocial needs or problems of obstetrical-gynaecological, maternal-infantile-paediatric and family health considering the ethnic-cultural differences of health models.
- Describe the physical development of the child from birth to adolescence with particular relevance of nutritional aspects in the various stages of growth.
- Recognise the stages of neuro-psychomotor, psychological and socio-affective development of the child.
- Implement interventions to promote women's health, prevention such as osteoporosis prevention, prevention of papilloma virus, screening.
- Describe the conceptual basis for analysing family development and functioning.
- Describe specific family support interventions in collaboration with and participate in family therapy programs.

Examination methods: To pass the exam, students will need to:
- Demonstrate the ability to analyse and justify the health needs and problems of children and women and argue possible avenues for preventive action.
- Discuss in a clear and organised way the functioning of the family and identify the elements and methods of structural assessment, development and functioning of the family aimed at enhancing the potential in their health management ability.
