Learning outcomes

The aim of teaching is to provide the basic knowledge regarding the histology, anatomy and human physiology of all apparatuses, especially the head-neck district, so that the student understands the organization and functioning of the human body. HUMAN ANATOMY MODULE Training objective: Acquire skills of normal human anatomy of all equipment. Acquire the ability to describe the structural organization of the human body from the macroscopic to the microscopic level, in healthy conditions and to know the essential morphological characteristics of systems, apparatuses, organs, the human organism, as well as their main morpho-functional correlates. HEAD-NECK DISTRICT ANATOMY MODULE Training objectives: To acquire normal human anatomy skills of the head-neck district. The course aims to critically educate the student about the anatomical structures of the neck district, acquiring the ability to describe its structural organization. • Head/neck anatomy • Oral cavity anatomy and histology HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY MODULE Training objective: The physiology course aims to provide students with the basic knowledge to understand the functioning of the human body, its basic homeostatic mechanisms. It starts by resuming some concepts of cellular physiology that are functional to the understanding of communication between cells within tissues. We then move on to the physiology of organs and system, considering both the functional and regulatory aspects that are used to maintain homeostasis. The course aims to provide the student with the tools to understand and predict the homeostatic adjustments that are needed for the survival of the individual, pushing them to reasoning and stimulating their curiosity. HISTOLOGY MODULE Training objectives: The teaching of Histology is aimed at offering the student a clear and up-to-date picture of the cells of the human organism and their morpho-functional organization in the different tissues, especially the tooth. This knowledge is preparatory and indispensable to the continuation of the didactic curriculum. At the end of the course, the student must be able to: 1) Structurally recognize and describe the cell, assigning each component its specific function; 2) understand the concept of cell differentiation and correlate the morphological and structural differences of different cell types with their functional activities; 1) recognize and describe the main tissues of the human body, emphasizing the understanding of the functional meaning of each observed morphological aspect.

The exam is written and includes the use of multiple choice questions (5 replies to each question of which only one is correct). The questions are 20 For each correct question it is assigned a point and there are no penalties for wrong answer. Half of correct questions determines sufficiency. In case of doubt in the preparation of the candidate, the teacher can convoke the student and check his preparation orally
