Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
La proposta formativa riguarda l’attivazione di un modulo didattico in lingua inglese, rivolto agli studenti del CdLM in Economics e finalizzato alla trattazione di strumenti di
analisi e rappresentazione dei dati, con particolare attenzione ai dati spaziali. In particolare verranno trattati temi relativi all’acquisizione, classificazione, utilizzo e rappresentazione dei dati e la loro analisi.
Program
Il modulo svilupperà temi collegati all’analisi dei dati spaziali e competenze e permetterà gli studenti di acquisire competenze pratiche nell’utilizzo di software di analisi econometrica e per rappresentazione dei dati e preparazione di rapporti e presentazioni delle analisi svolte.

Introduction to data visualization
Le lezioni saranno tenute in laboratorio.
Durata: Il corso si articola su tre settimane per un totale di 20 ore di lezioni frontali equivalenti a 3 CFU suddivisi fra i due docenti.
Periodo di svolgimento: settimane selezionate nel periodo dal 4 marzo al 10 maggio 2019.
Examination Methods
Il riconoscimento di crediti è subordinato alla frequenza di almeno il 70% delle lezioni ed al superamento di un prova finale costituita dalla relazione di un breve saggio (circa 2000 parole) con una trattazione critica di uno o più articoli scientifici a scelta tra quelli indicati dai docenti del corso, o la soluzione di problemi proposti dai docenti, oppure l’elaborazione di bozza di progetto di ricerca basato sull’applicazione di tecniche approfondite durante le lezioni del modulo.
