The teaching is organized as follows:

Learning outcomes

In continuity with the contents of modules no. 1 (Adult education) and n. 2 (Pedagogy of the life cycle), the Laboratory aims to create an operational learning context in which students can experience the following learning situations:
1. to reflect and dialogue first on the problem of the relationship between theoretical knowledge and practical activity,
looking for ways to create, even in education, a cognitive relationship of a circular nature between theory and practice;
2. to identify and investigate, individually or in small groups, a specific problem, identified within the following theme:
"The meaning of old age, in its various phases and in relation to the other ages of life";
3. to develop, individually or in small groups, a pedagogical reflection on a specific topic that falls within the proposed
theme.

Program

The workshop program is divided into parts: classroom work and individual or small group work.
A) CLASSROOM WORK:
1. identification of a specific topic and reflection, individually or in a small group, on "how" to go from "theory" to "practice": identification of the difficulties to be faced and the way to proceed;
2. deepening of knowledge of some particular aspects (eg, emotional, social and cultural) of elderly life, through meeting and dialogue with privileged witnesses;
3. reflection on the function of educators among the elderly in Assisted Healthcare Resident (RSA): problems, objectives and skills.
4. organization of laboratory activities, individually or in a small group; then final reflection among all the participants in the workshop.
B) WORK AT HOME: INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP.

Examination Methods

METHOD OF THE EXAMINATION
At the end of the laboratory activity, students (individually or as a working group) will have to submit a written paper which will then be discussed as part of an oral exam.
The content of the paper must fall into one of the following topics:
a) personal (or group) reflection starting from a testimony on elderly life, heard during the laboratory activity;
b) personal (or group) reflection on the link between the ages of life and culminating in the elderly way;
c) analysis of a specific educational experience lived with the elderly and interpretation of its meaning;
d) drafting of an educational project hypothesis relating to elderly life or the meaning of the transition between adult life and elderly life.

METHOD OF EVALUATION OF THE EXAM
• The final grade of the "Education in the ages of life" exam is unique, and will arise from the sum of the scores acquired in the three modules. The overall score, out of thirty, is distributed among the three modules in proportion to the work required and the number of credits attributed to each module.
• The evaluation of the three exams will take place in the same way, that is, by articulating the score on the basis of five levels of judgment: Insufficient (I) Sufficient (S) - Fair (D) - Good (B) - Very Good (MB) , as follows:
─ Adult education (6 credits): 21 points (I. = 15; S. = 18; D. = 19; B = 20; MB = 21).
─ Pedagogy of the life cycle (2 credits): 5 points (I. = 1; S. = 2; D. = 3; B. = 4; MB = 5).
─ Life cycle pedagogy workshop: (1 cfu): 4 points (I. = 0.5; S. = 1; D. = 2; B. = 3; MB = 4).
