Academic calendar

The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes

The course aims to provide the basic techniques of descriptive statistics, of probability and inferential statistics to students of degree courses in economics and business and who have already acquired the necessary knowledge of mathematics provided with the basic teachings.
These techniques provide a quantitative analysis methodology useful for descriptive purposes, interpretation and decision-making, based on observation, collection and processing of collective phenomena and are essential in the interpretation of the official statistical information as well as in the launching of statistical surveys of economic and social phenomena.

Examination Methods

The examination consists of a written test (about 2 hours and 30 minutes) composed of a selection of exercises and by a series of closed questions.
They will be admitted to the oral test only those students who have attained a grade greater than or equal to 15/30 in exercises and in closed questions (both!).

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE
