Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Contamination Lab
The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations. Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU D (type credit).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the March-April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.

Learning objectives
The course aims at providing students of the Bachelor's degree in Languages and Cultures for Tourism and International Commerce with an adequate knowledge of the Spanish culture of different periods, focusing on its literary, historical, geographical and anthropological aspects. At the end of the course, students will acquire a sound knowledge of the issues covered by the module (historical and cultural context, main writers/texts/movements/genres of the period examined). With regard to the applied and communication skills, students will be able to critically comment the primary texts listed in the syllabus, in relation both to their historical and cultural context and literary specificities, as well as to express the acquired knowlegde in a clear and consistent way.
Prerequisites and basic notions
None, but it is required a A2/B1 level in Spanish in order to attend the lessons profitably. Erasmus students should have a degree of competence in Italian corresponding to B1 level of CEFRL (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Program
Part 1: The course aims at introducing students to contemporary Spanish culture and literature between the end of XIX century and the beginning of XX century (1868-1936). Students will be provided with a good level of knowledge of the realistic novel, that flourished during the second half of the XIX century, the main generations of writers of the time (Generación del ’98, Generación del ’14 and Generación del ’27), and the aesthetic movements of the end of XIX century (Symbolism, Decadentism). The historical and cultural context of the time will also be explored as the background of the main literary movements (the Revolution of 1868, "La Gloriosa", the First Republic, the Restoration, the crisis of '98, the reign of Alfonso XIII, the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera, the Second Republic, up to the beginning of the Spanish Civil War).

Part 2: The literary texts adopted will be read and analysed in relation to each other and to common themes, to invite an intertextual comparison. Students will be guided through a path of critical reading of the selected literary texts, in relation to the cultural and social issues they raise.

Oral exam
Evaluation criteria
The oral exam will assess the ability to critically comment the primary texts, the depth and breadth of the acquired knowledge and the ability to link the different topics covered by the modules, the use of an appropriate vocabulary; the clarity of presentation and argumentation of the candidate. Holding the oral exam in Spanish will constitute a note of merit in the final evaluation.
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The final grade is awarded on a 30-point scale.

Stage e tirocini
Nel piano didattico della laurea triennale in Lingue per il turismo e il commercio internazionale (L12) è previsto un periodo di stage obbligatorio (CFU 6) in organizzazioni imprenditoriali.
Le attività di stage sono finalizzate a far acquisire allo studente una conoscenza diretta in settori di particolare interesse per l’inserimento nel mondo del lavoro e per l’acquisizione di abilità professionali specifiche.
Le attività di stage sono svolte sotto la diretta responsabilità di un singolo docente presso studi professionali, enti della pubblica amministrazione, aziende accreditate dall’Ateneo veronese.
I crediti maturati in seguito ad attività di stage saranno attribuiti secondo quanto disposto nel dettaglio dal “Regolamento d’Ateneo per il riconoscimento dei crediti maturati negli stage universitari” vigente.
