Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
La prima parte del corso è dedicata all’evoluzione storica della politica sociale comunitaria dal Trattatati istitutivo - fino all’approvazione del Trattato di Nizza e della relativa Carta e alle vicende del Trattato costituzionale - e allo studio delle fonti del diritto comunitario del lavoro; particolare attenzione sarà dedicata, in questo secondo ambito, alle norme che presiedono e alle dinamiche in cui si manifesta il c.d. dialogo sociale comunitario e la contrattazione collettiva europea. La seconda parte del corso affronta il diritto sociale comunitario soft attraverso l’analisi del c.d. processo di coordinamento aperto nato a seguito del c.d. Processo di Lussemburgo (Titolo VIII Politiche dell’occupazione).

PARTE I Il dialogo sociale europeo
- L’evoluzione dei diritti sociali e della politica sociale della CE dal Trattato di Roma del 1957 alla Carta europea dei diritti fondamentali, passando attraverso il Trattato di Nizza del 2000 per arrivare alle procedure di approvazione e ratifica del Trattato costituzionale. Le fonti del diritto del lavoro nell’Unione europea e il ruolo delle parti sociali. Principio di sussidiarietà verticale ed orizzontale.
- Il dialogo sociale europeo.
- La struttura organizzativa dei sindacati europei e delle rappresentanze aziendali.
- Il contratto collettivo e la contrattazione europea: struttura, soggetti stipulanti ed efficacia, attraverso l’analisi delle sentenze della Corte di giustizia CE.

Internships
Internships are aimed at enabling students to gain direct knowledge of the world of work and to acquire specific professional skills.
Internships are carried out under the responsibility of an individual lecturer, and can be carried out in professional firms, public administration bodies and companies recognised by the University of Verona.
Any CFU credits gained by doing internships will be recognised and recorded by the University in accordance with the relevant University regulations in force (Regolamento d’Ateneo per il riconoscimento dei crediti maturati negli stage universitari).
