Module: PSICOLOGIA DINAMICA

The course in Social and Community Psychology starts with an analysis of human development from a relational point of view, and refers to the main concepts introduced in the course in Social Psychology. It will introduce the students to the importance of the sense of community for individual and social change. Students will study how community work can be useful in terms of coping with psychosocial diseases and promoting and developing individual resources in the context of relationships. The theoretical principles guiding social workers and the pratical strategies they use will be studied.

Educational goals are the following:
• Giving basic conceptual tools in order to frame individual behaviour within social dynamics.
• To go in depth with biosocial theories of behaviour, from a non-reductionist point of view.
• Analysing individual psychological processes and social dynamic in the context of educational professional environment.

Module: PSICOLOGIA SOCIALE E DEI GRUPPI

The main theories in social psychology will be analysed from a historical perspective. Special attention will be given to theories such as social constructionism and cultural psychology to frame cognitive, affective and motivational processes.
Specific contents will be self definition, individual-group dynamic, social norms, communication processes, attitudes, prejudice.
Finally, some concepts will be applied to specific themes carachterising contemporary society such us migration, globalization, multiculturalism.
