Learning outcomes

Drawing on a selection of texts dating from the past two hundred years, the course will shed light on a range of socio-cultural issues concerning the French society at large and the cultural debate thereof. It will also provide a comparison with the Italian society, especially with regards to education and training processes.

Program

Close reading of XX century texts concerning the nature of human beings and their role in society.
Traditional lectures will be integrated with seminars and conferences.
