Learning objectives
This course introduces students to complex problems which relate to ergonomics in: i) polithecnic area (engineering, architecture, design); ii)biomedical field (anthropometry, physiology, work medicine, hygiene); iii) psicosocial knowledge area (work organization, psicological interpretations, sociological interpretations). The course also includes an insight about risks evaluation ERGONOMICS AND PSICOSOCIAL RISKS This unit aims to guide students towards prevention, health protection promotion and safety in the workplace. Students will get acquainted with work medicine principles, risks evaluation, sanitary surveillance, specific laws, sanitary education, primary/secondary/tertiary prevention levels, related to different work risk types, also tank to specific real cases. The attention will be focused, in a multidisciplinary perspective, on ergonomic, psicosocial, accident risks, particularly in at-risk-workers (e.g. immigrants and senior workers) This module aims to show students how, in their future profession, cooperation with other specialists is a must. METHODS AND TECHNIQUES FOR RISKS ANALYSIS AND PREVENTION This unit aims to teach students methods concerning risk analysis and evaluation in a critical fashion. Knowledge concerning formalization of risks evaluation will be a goal. At the end of this module, students should be aware of the consequent evaluation effects, both in prevention and repression terms. Students should be able to apply VdR principles and methods; at the same time students should be able to adapt and correct those principles, as far as possible, also taking advantage of official national databases INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES AND RISKS This unit aims to teach students basic notions concerning common industrial chemical processes. In particular, their attention will be driven towards: i) dangerous chemicals and their processing, ii) active and passive safety systems, iii) evaluation of the chemical risk
