Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
Acquaintance with methodologies and sources for the study of the international relations and the European integration process in historical perspective.
Program
Contents:
The first part of the course will recast the evolution of history of international relations. It will be assessed in the context of the evaluation of international historiography, and the methods of selecting and finding primary sources. During the course, exemples will be proposed of different methodological approaches, with a focus on disciplinary contamination with social sciences.
The second part will be devoted to the presentation of the history of European integration in broader framework of "European studies". Special attention will be devoted to the recent developments of the historiografical debate and of the analysis approaches. Some case studies will be debated, especially focusing on Italy and the Federal Republic of Germany.
Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of modern and contemporary history.
Teaching Methods: Seminars with the students
Texts: The didactic tools will be recommended during the course.
Examination Methods
The final exam will be in oral form. Further seminar activities will be planned during the course.
