Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Module: SICUREZZA E PREVIDENZA SOCIALE

The course aims to analyze the main legal institutions of social security, providing the conceptual and methodological tools for understanding the complex regulatory system that protects workers and citizens.
Module: DIRITTO DELLA SICUREZZA SUL LAVORO
-------
The course aims at identifying the system of regulatory sources concerning the protection of health and safety at work and the different types of liabilities that can occur. After a historical reconstruction, aimed at highlighting the impact of the Constitution and of the EU law, the course will focus on the relationship between EU and national sources, on the one hand, and between the general rule set by art. 2087 c.c. and the special provisions provided by legislative decree 81/2008, on the other. Particular attention will be given to the analysis of the provisions of the H&S-at-Work Act concerning the definition of the actors involved in the company prevention system, the content of safety duties, also in the case of out-sourcing, the multiple typologies of risks that need to be considered by the employer in the risk assessment process.

Module: DIRITTO DELLA SICUREZZA SUL LAVORO

The system of sources: historical evolution (between the EU and the Italian legal system). Pre-Constitutional and Post-Constitutional Phase, Impact of EU Law. The Principle of maximum technologically possible safety in the EU and in the Italian legal system. The relationship between Art. 2087 c.c. (general norm) and legislative decree 81/08 (special norms).
The system of (tort, criminal, administrative) liabilities. The Safety Obligation and Criminal Liabilities: the Definitions of Employer, Manager, Supervisor and Worker under legislative decree 81/08.
Delegation of Safety Tasks and the principle of effectiveness according to Art. 299 legislative decree 81/08.
The Company System of Prevention: RSPP, Competent Doctor and Safety Workers’ Representatives. Safety Obligations in out-sourcing forms of employment and organisation of work: contracting-out, temporary agency work, posting. Interferential Risks.

Internships
Internships are aimed at enabling students to gain direct knowledge of the world of work and to acquire specific professional skills.
Internships are carried out under the responsibility of an individual lecturer, and can be carried out in professional firms, public administration bodies and companies recognised by the University of Verona.
Any CFU credits gained by doing internships will be recognised and recorded by the University in accordance with the relevant University regulations in force (Regolamento d’Ateneo per il riconoscimento dei crediti maturati negli stage universitari).
