Learning outcomes

Aim of the course is transmitting fundamental knowledge on Italian language and its historical and geographical variability, with particular regard to difference between language and dialects, written and verbal language. Ability at writing texts (as well professional writings pertinent to university course) will be improved by practice of analisys and production.

Variety of Italian language: dialects, regional languages

Present-day Italian: standard Italian language, sectorial languages, linguistic registers
