Learning outcomes

At the end of the course students will reach A1+ level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and they will be able to communicate in Catalan in everyday situations (personal and family information, daily actions, tastes and preferences), in routine activities that require a simple exchange of information, they will be able to describe in simple terms personal aspects and to express immediate needs. Besides, the student will achieve a general knowledge of the Catalan culture.

2. L’Accentuació:
a) paraules àtones i tòniques.
b) les regles d'accentuació (paraules agudes, planes i esdrúixoles.
c) l'accent diacrític.
3. El substantiu i l'adjectiu
4. Determinants i pronoms
5. El verb
6. Adverbis i locucions
7. Preposicions
8. Les unitats lèxiques:
a) reconeixement dels afixes més freqüents
b) formació de families de paraules.
9. Les relacions semàntiques: reconeixement i utilització de sinònims i antònims.
10. Varietas de l'ús lingüístic: reconeixement dels nivells formal i informal de la llengua.

Examination Methods

Written examination (grammatical structures, reading and listening comprehension, and composition of text) and oral test (interview in Catalan on required reading and / or communicative situation). In order to take the exam (written and oral) is required 80 % minimum attendance of the course.
