Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to make students familiar with both the classical and the most recent historiographical trends. Concepts are addressed first as to their origin, then to their circulation in varied linguistic and cultural contexts. This double perspective implies on the one hand a historical approach, and on the other a comparative perspective. The latter stimulates the attention for language in students, as they are provided with texts in their original versions.
