Learning outcomes
Professional laboratories teaching aims at the acquisition of technical and practical skills along with organizational, social and problem solving abilities. Learning takes place in protected contexts and it is based on written cases and role-playing with simulated operators. All this means to reduce the emotional impact of experiencing real life situations but also to ensure ethics and safety to patients. Additionally, the lab offers students the opportunity to train and combine both clinical theory and practice. Laboratory activities occur in well-equipped settings where small groups of students are supervised by a tutor. This is an essential aspect of traineeship activities.
The contents are related to the lessons of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Processes, Nursing Clinic in Medical Area, Nursing Clinic in Surgical Area.
