Learning outcomes

The course will develop some topics of General Pathology and Physiopathology preliminary to the understanding of the basic mechanisms of diseases. The course is at the crossroads of basic and clinical science. General principles of the haemodynamics disorders of complex systems, main exogenous and endogenous pathogenic factors, biological damage, damage reactions, with particular reference to inflammation, healing or chronic processes, immunity, haemostasis and thrombosis, vascular pathology and concepts of general oncology will be studied. The course aims to establish the essential links between clinical manifestations and fundamental mechanisms, facilitating the understanding of the conceptual basis of the disease.
