Learning objectives

The course is aimed at basic training in the field of clinical implantology for dental hygienist. To this end, the specific objective of the course is to provide the student with the basic scientific knowledge, on the physiopathology and the different types of pathology that arise at the level of perimplantarian tissues and the ways of prevention and management as a dental hygienist. IMPLANTOLOGY AND PERIODONTOLOGY MODULE Training objectives: The Implantology course is aimed at the university training of the student of the Graduate Course in Dental Hygiene, for this purpose, the course is designed in order to offer students a basic training in the field of clinical implantology. The specific objective of the course is to provide the student with basic scientific knowledge, on pathology and the different types of pathology that arise at the level of perimplantarian tissues. UL: Implantology and Periodontology 1 Training objectives: The implantology course aims to pass on to students all the knowledge related to the placement of dental implants. In particular, all surgical, medical, radiological, anatomical and prosthetic aspects related to implant surgery will be treated. In the course of the theoretical lessons will be provided the most information possible for the correct planning of the implant treatment through also the presentation of explanatory clinical cases. At the end of the course, the student must be able to: • know the biology of osteointegration • know the main indications and contraindications to implantology • know the tools that are useful for proper diagnosis and treatment planning • know the different ways of prosthetic rehabilitation • know the different surgical options and how to manage and perform the implant surgery. UL: Implantology and Periodontology 2 Training objectives: The Implantology course is aimed at the university training of the student of the Master's Course in Dental Hygiene. To this end, the course is designed to offer students basic training in the field of clinical implantology. The specific objective of the course is to provide the student with basic scientific knowledge, on pathology and the different types of pathology that arise at the level of perimplantarian tissues. DENTAL PROSTHESIS MODULE Training objective: The course aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge to obtain an in-depth knowledge of the main types of traditional prostheses and prostheses on implants with a focus on all stages of diagnosis and programming of prosthetic treatment. DENTAL HYGIENE TECHNIQUES IN PATIENTS WITH SYSTEMIC CONDITIONS Training objective: The course aims to make the student aware and autonomous in the management of the treatment plan, before and after the session of IOP, of patients with systemic pathologies, referring to clinical protocols.
