An introduction to theoretical and methodological instruments useful to analyze a dramatic text both in relation to other literary genres and to its specific scenic purposes.

Program

Some exemplary performances, created for the Comédie-Française during the Romantic era and connoted by a directorial conception, give us a chance to reflect on the beginnings of stage-direction in France. In the same period the Italian theatrical system binds stage production to the lines of business system; a procedure which will not change since the beginning of the twentieth century.
