Learning outcomes

Acquisition of the critical criteria for the study of the Western drama, with a particular attention to the reinterpretation of texts for the stage

Program

Contents: Shakesperean Iconography from XVIIIth to XXth Centuries

The course will propose an analysis of Shakespearean iconography through the employ of a digital database created by a group of Laboratorio Teatrale. The course will provide the essential critical tools for a more conscious approach to Shakespearean iconography and will illustrate the operative and interactive processus made possible by the new digital resources. For this purpose, the lessons will be partly organized as seminars and they will be integrated by specialysed staff and experts in the field of digital humanities
