Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
In order to attend the Lab, the students must have attended at least 80% of the lessons of ‘Theories and Techniques to Observe Child Behavior’ (TTOCB).
The Lab offers the opportunity to apply the theoretical and instrumental knowledge acquired during the class of TTOCB, to design a research project based on observational methods and techniques. The observational research project should be usefully used in educational contexts.
Program
The lab activities are structured in both plenary sessions and small group sessions. The first plenary sessions are aimed to develop and train basic research skills, such as skills to use online databases, read scientific papers, and formulate good research questions. The small group sessions are aimed to elaborate an observational research project (one project each group) to be used in an educational setting. In particular, the small group sessions will be focused on the different steps to design the research project: to define the research aim, identify participants and procedure, choose the most adequate observational techniques, adapt and/or build the observational instruments and, finally, identify effective ways to evaluate the research process. The work in progress made within the different groups will be constantly supervised by lab tutors, and discussed in plenary sessions.
Examination Methods
At the end of the Lab, there is no examination, but only a plenary session for a critical discussion of the research projects developed by each working group. However, the lab activities will support the preparation of the TTOCI examination.

Practical information for students
Stage e Tirocini
Per le altre attività formative (crediti F) sono previsti 9 cfu (pari a 225 ore) da acquisire solamente attraverso l’attività di tirocinio obbligatoria, a sua volta suddivisa in:- tirocinio indiretto (1 cfu: 25 ore di frequenza obbligatoria in università per il 75%) in preparazione dell’attività formativa sul campo;
- tirocinio diretto (8 cfu), da svolgersi presso enti convenzionati.
Il tirocinio indiretto consiste in un accompagnamento iniziale delle/degli studenti da parte dei tutor attraverso un percorso di formazione della durata di 25 ore.
La finalità di questo percorso è quella di preparare le/gli studenti alla particolare forma di apprendimento costituita dal tirocinio, dotandoli di conoscenze e strumenti adeguati a osservare, comprendere e rielaborare criticamente l’esperienza di tirocinio nei servizi educativi e ad affrontare il tirocinio negli enti con metodo e consapevolezza.
Il percorso, da attuare in gruppi da 20-25 persone sotto la supervisione di un tutor proveniente dal mondo professionale di educatori e pedagogisti, risponde alle esigenze costantemente espresse sia dalle/dagli studenti stessi sia dalle parti sociali che dai referenti degli enti convenzionati.
