Learning outcomes

The course offers knowledge and reflections on how the community can face health and social needs.
The students will be able to recognize the contribution of the psychosocial sciences to understand the groups dynamics and the changes of family in a multicultural society, to understand the groups’ decision-making process, especially in the working settings. Moreover the students will learn important skills such how to deliver care in the community and in the psychiatric setting .
The course is divided into the following modules:
- community nursing
- sociology of health and family
- psychology of groups
- mental health nursing
- psychiatry
for a total of 6 ECTS credits.

Examination Methods

The exam consists in two written tests referring respectively to the block of the three modules of group psychology, community nursing, sociology of health and family and the block related to psychiatry and nursing in mental health. There will be open and multiple-choice questions, aimed to assess the knowledge learned and the students’ ability to apply them into the practice. The exam has to be passed by achieving the minimum passing score on all five modules.
