Learning outcomes

MOBILIZATION OF THE HEMIPLEGIC PATIENT
The student practices supporting and supporting a person with hemiplegia (paralysis of the upper and lower limbs with unstable control of the trunk) in the following physiological movements:
- mobilization of the patient by lying down at the edge of the bed
- bed - chair transfer
- positioning sitting at the table

PEER EDUCATION
During the clinical simulation the senior student (third year) will practice supervision and teaching to a junior student (first year) of blood pressure measurement (palpatory and auscultatory method) in a patient with Clostridium difficile
• Observing and analyzing the junior student's strengths and weaknesses
• Supporting the junior student in his weaknesses, providing clear and correct information
• Providing useful and personalized improvement strategies

MANAGEMENT OF CENTRAL AND PERIPHERAL VASCULAR ACCESSES: CVC, PICC AND MIDLINE
At the end of the clinical simulation the student is able to:
1. Recognize and prepare the material needed for the replacement of a central access (CVC) dressing, a central insertion access device (PICC) and a Midline catheter
2. Run a central access (CVC), a peripheral insertion (PICC) access and a Midline catheter dressing on a simulator, ensuring the principles of asepsis and safety for the patient and the operator.
3. Prepare the necessary material and perform the catheter washing, using the "flushing" technique and guaranteeing the "Nedleless System" asepsis
4. Recognize and prepare the collection material and perform the venous sampling from the central venous catheter

Program

MOBILIZATION OF THE HEMIPLEGIC PATIENT
Peer exercise with patient-nurse simulation in performing and testing the position of the person with hemiplegia (paralysis of the upper and lower limbs with unstable control of the trunk) in the following physiological movements:
- sitting position at the edge of the bed
- Transfer of bed - chair
- sitting position at the table

MANAGE CENTRAL AND PERIPHERAL VENOUS VENOUS ACCESSES: CVC; PICC AND MIDLINE
Application of the theoretical contents learned in theory through the use of simulators; replacement of the dressing of a central central venous, Picc, Midline washing, venous sampling from central venous catheter, dressing

TEACHING AND EDUCATING BETWEEN EQUAL
The laboratory includes the measurement of arterial pressure using a palpatory and auscultatory method in a patient with Clostridium difficile infection by the junior student. The senior student supervises, corrects and instructs the Junior student during the procedure simulation.

Examination Methods

At the end of the year the teacher will formulate the "approved" judgment on the examination report.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE
