Learning outcomes

The course consists of two modules, one relating to the organizations sociology and one relating to the work psychology. Objectives of the module of organizations sociology are: 1) knowledge of the constituent elements of complex organizations belonging to the health services area; (2) knowledge of the main methods and tools of organizational analysis that allow you to read the organization in its internal processes and relations with the context of reference; (3) ability to contextualize the use of tools within organizational dynamics, with particular reference to those that characterize network organizational models; (4) ability to identify the determining factors of organizational design. The module of work psychology will deal with the concept of decision-making process (problem-finding, problem-setting, problem-solving e decision-making), from the point of view of cognitive, emotional and behavioral aspects. The course will follow the path that starting from the individual will lead to organization.

Program

The program of module of Organizations sociology is divided into two parts. The first deals with the specificities of the sociological reading of organizations, models and organizational variables, with particular reference to personal services. In the second we analyze the main aspects of organizational design, with particular reference to the definition of individual positions and organizational units. The Work Psychology module includes the topics: Individual at work (cognitive characteristics: intelligence and convictions, …) Group at work (cooperation vs competition, … ) and Organization (Organizational Development, Selection, …).

Examination Methods

The examination of module of Organizations sociology takes place in oral form, with vote on a scale of thirty, and involves the verification of the knowledge and assessment of the student's abilities as set out in the training objectives. The exam of module of Work psychology will be written and will be composed of a variable number of open and closed questions. These will be drawn by the 5 chapters of the book by Sartori and Rappagliosi to be studied for the exam.
