Learning outcomes
The course offers theoretical and practical bases for the scheduling and the conduction of physical training in skiing, with a particular attention to performance evolution of young skiers
Program
Classroom lessons (first four lessons):
Performance model of alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and ski mountaineering
The evolution of performance during the youth age
Neuro-physiological bases for the scheduling of physical training in young and evolved skiers
Laboratory experience:
Gym/track (fifth lesson): strength and coordination training in young skiers
CeRiSM labs - ROVERETO (sixth lesson): functional evaluation of young and evolved skiers (field and lab tests)
CeRiSM labs - ROVERETO (seventh lesson): examples of integrated analysis of performance (kinematic, dynamics, electromyigraphyc, baropodometric and metabolic analysis) for evolved skiers: the integratd biomechanics of skiing as research specificity of Verona University (CeRiSM).
Examination Methods
Oral discussion of a personal project that has the aim to deepen one of the topics of the course. The project will be written following the indications given during the course. It must be delivered within the agreed date to give access to the oral discussion.
