Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Learning outcomes
The course of "Institutions di Public Law" regards the Italian Constitutional Law taking into consideration also the EU law perspective, and the principles of the Public Administration Law.
In this sense, the students will acquire basic understanding of the organization of public authorities (State, regional and European levels), the system of sources of law, the constitutional rights, the principles in the field of public administration, the judicial system, and constitutional justice.
The main aim of the course is to provide specific knowledge of principles, notions and basic concepts of public law and, more generally, the essential tools to comprehend the whole legal phenomenon in order to cope with in the postgraduate years and in the forthcoming professional activities.
In particular, at the end of the course, the students must demonstrate knowledge of public law, shall recognize and identify the sources of law within the rules applied, comprehend and evaluate norms and judgments studied during the course, and implement the acquired knowledge to the concrete cases supporting each thesis with appropriate juridical language and arguments.

4. The Italian Parliament.
5. The Italian Government.
6. The Italian President of the Republic.
7. The Judicial Power.
8. The Italian Constitutional Court.
9. The Regions and the local Authorities.
10. The fundamental rights and the mandatory duties.
11. The Public Administration in the Italian Constitution.
Teaching methods
The teaching methods consist of frontal lectures. In addition, various institutions of public law will be stressed from the theoretical point of view, and a special attention will be paid to the current events and political and institutional reality in which the principles of public law find concrete application.
The contents of the textbooks as well as the classroom lessons adhere to the program. Any teaching materials used during the lectures will be available in the e-learning platform of the course.
Examination Methods
The final exam will be oral which aims to verify in-depth all knowledge acquired, the ability to join the various topics, the capacity to present with appropriate legal language, the aptitude to argue and support their thesis.
No intermediate tests are provided.
