Learning outcomes

The course is held in German and is aimed at analysing authors, literary movements and texts of German litterature from the 18th Century to Romanticism. At the end of the course students will have to show to be able to approach Wieland’s texts from an intermedial and intercultural perspective and to properly express their knowledge in German language.

The course is held in German and aimes at analysing the history of the editions of J.W.Goethe's "Werther", the illustrations and the pathographic dimension of the novel.

Examination Methods

The final oral exam is in German. It is aimed at testing students’ knowledge of all topics dealt with during the course and in particular at testing
- The depth and breadth of students’ knowledge
- Students’ ability to analyse and understand literary texts
- Students’ ability to discuss and connect different topics in different perspectives
- Students’ speaking ability in German
The final evaluation is expressed in marks out of thirty.
