Learning outcomes
The Course “Physicians: their history, their stories” wants to show history and evolution of medicine both with historical documents from official archives but also through the stories of doctors and physicians wh were witnesses of the changes and innovations of their times. The student will discover that medical professions is deeply changed in methodology and tools but problems physicians face every day are the same of centuries ago and make this profession not only a job
Program
The course will cover several topics of great interest in the history of Medicine. The teacher and the discussants will interact in uncovering historical facts and stories behind a specific medical problem and its evolution in time and how it changed the history of medicine. The common matter will be the history of physicians who faced the problem and contributed to technological and human development of Medicine
