Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

The teaching aims is to analyze some physiopathologic , clinical and helpful aspects related to priority health problems of the elderly, selected for their epidemiological importance, in a clinical instability’s situation and in a chronic disease/disability. It considers the changes due to ageing and to the chronic-degenerative disease’s problems increasing. The approach focuses on management and identification of existing and possible problems’, considering various helpful contests and self-care abilities’ promotion and development

The course of Clinical Nursing in Chronic conditions aims to provide student Knowledge in order to analyze and understand the problems of care and the areas of vigilance connected to the main chronic degenerative diseases, in different stages of trajectory of the disease, with particular reference to chronic phase. Describe and analyze interventions aimed at the management of these problems and the development of self-care skills with a view to continuity in the different care settings and in the different phases of the disease.

Caring people with chronic-degenerative disease (trajectories of disease in organ failure, in oncological diseases and in neurodegenerative diseases, self-care skills in patient and care-giver, prevention of disability). Caring and education of people with malnutrition: nutritional status assessment in the frail elderly, nutritional supplements and fortified diets, care management of eating behavior disorders in dementia, screening and management of dysphagia. Cognitive functions and main related disorders: assessment and management of the memory disorders, methods of reactivation and cognitive rehabilitation; assessment and management of language disorders: classification of fluent and non-fluent aphasia; alternative augmentative communication techniques and tools; eminegligence assessment and management: personal, peripersonal and extra-personal neglect, principle of ecological assessment, help neglect peolple to compensate the deficit and guarantee safety confusional state and delirium: hyperactive and hypoactive delirium, predisposing and precipitating factors, prevention and management of delirium. Prevention and management of falls. Caring patient with stroke in the first 24 hours and in the post-acute phase: assessment and monitoring of the neurological status and of the vital functions (methods, timing, alteration management), fibrinolytic therapy: criteria inclusion for treatment, complications and monitoring; prevention of immobility damage. Caring person with diabetes mellitus. Management of the diabetic diet, indications and benefits of physical activity, glycemic self-monitoring and self-management of therapy (insulin and oral hypoglycaemic), prevention of diabetic foot. Caring person with Parkinson's disease. Management of L-dopa therapy and diet indications. Strategies for the management of motor symptoms. Caring person with Alzheimer's disease. The prosthetic approach in the prevention, assessment and management of psychological and behavioral disorders associated with dementia.

MM: INFERMIERISTICA CLINICA NELLA CRONICITA'

Written exam with closed questions with multiple choice answers, or open short answers and oral exam. The written test will consist of 15 questions that will cover all the contents of the program, the questions will be constructed mainly with mini-cases / situations in order to assess the level of acquisition of the theoretical content and the student's ability to apply such content to situations of clinical practice, e.g. decision-making, problem-solving, ... The written exam is considered outdated if the student correctly answers 10 out of 15 questions. Access to the oral exam is limited to passing the written test. The oral exam will assess the student's argumentative ability to present in a clear and logical way one of the topics of the program and the capacity for clinical reasoning applied to situations of clinical practice referred to the topics of the program.

Attività didattiche regime part-time: modalità di richiesta
È consentita l'iscrizione a tempo parziale. Per saperne di più consulta la pagina Possibilità di iscrizione Part time.
La domanda di iscrizione part-time può essere presentata all'inizio di ogni anno accademico e comunque entro il 30 novembre di ogni anno. Entro lo stesso termine, se necessario, lo studente potrà richiedere di tornare al regime full-time.
