Learning outcomes
The program aims to develop students’ awareness of general concepts of caring for patient and family, moreover ethical principles inspiring and guiding the practice of caring will analyze. It also aims at developing students’ skills on clinical assessment using different methods, such as observation, interview and objective examination. The course provides the methodological basis for the developing of problem solving and decision making skills.

The professionalization process of Nursing, professional and competence standards, the legislative sources of professional action, the guiding and deontological principles that guide the assistance model, with particular reference to the Deontological Code, the Profile of the Nurse and the Order of the study plan.

Evolution of the concept of health.
Meaning of determinant of health, inequalities, risk factors and life skills.

Examination Methods
Exam is written with multiple choice questions and closed answer for knowledge / application objectives, short open-ended questions in which arguments about clinical content are required for analytical objectives, independence of judgment and decision making. The questions are also proposed as a summary of clinical cases. The exam may include an oral interview to supplement the written test.
