TAF (Type of Educational Activity) All courses and activities are classified into different types of educational activities, indicated by a letter.
To provide basic knowledge regarding neurological rehabilitation and clinical neuropsychology, rehabilitative treatment strategies of acquired and neurodegenerative diseases. To provide knowledge on innovative technologies such as movement analysis and robotics along with cognitive disorders. (2018/2019)
The teaching is organized as follows:
Learning outcomes
To know the different therapeutic approaches in the scope of the neurological diseases rehabilitation.
To know the issues relative to the rehabilitation of the patient with a severe brain injury.
To obtain the fundamental evaluation criteria to proceed in the clinical reasoning on the neurological patient with a particular reference at the patient with stroke.
To obtain fundamental elements for the treatment of the hemiplegic patient.
Program
To know the various theories about the neurological rehabilitation and the many methodological approaches (analytical-bodybuilder theory, neuromotor theory and cognitive theory ).
To know origin, evolution and application of the most important methods in neuro-rehabilitation with a particular deepening of the Bobath method and Cognitive Therapeutic Excercise.
Hint to other methods: Brunnstrom, Vojta, Kabat and Constraint Induced Movement Therapy.
The Kabat concept and its elaboration: examples about neurokinetic facilitations.
The Bobath concept: the muscle tone , "pathological pattern" concept evolution, the equilibrium reactions and straightening, the balance, ; examples of: postural alignment, facilitations, problem solving.
Perfects and the E.T.C.: valuation of the motor specific and the functions to recover in the Hemiplegic patient; rehabilitation hypotheses paid by the motility of the superior limb, trunk and inferior limb
Integration of the many operating ways considering the values and needs of the patient
The problems ongoing during the valuation and the rehabilitation treatment to load by the shoulder in the hemiplegic patient
Treatment of the Pusher Syndrome
Examination Methods
Oral examination
