Learning outcomes

The main aim of the course is providing students with theoretical foundations of Information Systems design and management.
In particular, techniques for decision support system design and multidimensional data analysis tools are described, as well as organizational process modeling and reengineering techniques.

At the end of the course the student will be able to master knowledge and skills about organizational and management aspects, needed to manage information systems in the business context, also taking into account security-related topics.

In particular, at the end of the course the student will be able to a) design and manage a decision support system; b) analyze multidimensional data, and c) model and analyze and business process.
This knowledge will allow the student to take the most suitable design decisions according to stakeholder requirements.

At the end of the course the student must be able to prove she can understand system requirements and communicate appropriately with stakeholders for development and management of a Information System. She will also be able to autonomously continue studies in the Information Systems field.
