Learning outcomes
Objectives: The course aims to consider the pathophysiology of chronic venous insufficiency, to focus on the preoperative diagnostic procedures and therapeutic indications. The surgical procedures both traditional and endovascular obliteration by laser will be specified. The advantages and limitations of each technique will be discussed.

Definition and etiology of chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs.
How to prevent it?
Symptomatology.
Medical and physical therapy.
Surgical indications.
Traditional treatment and its complications.
Alternative treatments: laser, radiofrequency, glue, sclerotherapy ecc… and its complications.
Comparison between the different types of treatment.
Future perspectives.
Examination Methods
