MODULO METODOLOGIA EPIDEMIOLOGICA E IGIENE APPLICATA Learning outcomes:: The course must provide the student with the possession of the specific knowledge and the correct behavior models regarding the epidemiology and prevention of the main infectious and chronic degenerative diseases related to the profession. MODULO RADIOPROTEZIONE Learning outcomes: The aim of this module is to allow students at the end of the course using the knowledge of physics and biology to know and understand the radiation protection standards based on the relevant legal provisions. The units of measurement of radiation, the measuring instruments on radiation protection of workers, the procedures to avoid external exposure and internal contamination, the biological effects of ionizing radiation, the application of radio protection in the environment and in places of work. MODULO SICUREZZA NEGLI AMBIENTI DI LAVORO Learning outcomes: To acquire basic knowledge and understanding on health and safety prevention and health promotion and management in workplaces. To acquire, through field examples, knowledge and understanding about general principles of occupational health, occupational toxicology, risk assessment, health surveillance, fitness for work, legislation, with reference to different risk factors (e.g., chemicals, physical agents, biohazards, ergonomics, organization and psychosocial factors, injuries). Attention will be dedicated to let the student acquire knowledge and understanding about the roles of the different professionals and institutions committed to prevention. The student will acquire knowledge and awareness on the main risk factors, adverse effects and their prevention in the professional activities of a biomedical laboratory technician.
