- knowledge of the history of Cicero's text and of the principal modern studies about it;
- comprehension, translation and explanation skills of II Philippics text, referring to the main philological and linguistic features of the texts; reading and interpretation of the critical apparatus;

Due to Coronavirus emergency, and in accordance with the University of Verona guidelines, the summer exams session will be held with an online oral assessment.

Classes attendance is not compulsory but strongly recommended, because of the highly specialized nature of this course, particularly for students who did not take previously philological exams. Students who cannot attend classes are therefore invited to contact the teacher, in order to verify their skills in the field of latin classical texts transmission and textual criticism.

During the summer session the written translations will be replaced by an additional oral online translation in the framework of the last latin exam, only for student who plan to graduate in July.
