Learning outcomes
The laboratory aims to provide theoretical knowledge and practical tools for the analysis and implementation of transmedia storytelling projects.
At the end of the course students will:
- acquire basic knowledge on transmedia storytelling;
- be able to identify and analyze cases of transmedia storytelling;
- develop useful skills for the creation of a final project.

Contents of the course:
1. Evolution of transmedia storytelling: theories and models (S. Chatman, G. Freytag, C. Vogler).
2. From intermediality towards transmedia storytelling.
3. Identification and analysis of transmedia storytelling principles.
4. Basics elements for the creation of a storytelling project.

Teaching methods:
Taught classes.
Multimedia contents and PowerPoint presentations will be proposed, and compulsory in-progress exercises will be assigned for the achievement of credits.
An integral part of the course will be the autonomous realization of a transmedia storytelling project, based on the indications provided in class, to be delivered by a set date.
