Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide students with the knowledge to understand the main economic and financial issues, both at the national and international levels, and to comprehend the tools used by monetary and fiscal authorities.
Program
The course is divided into two sections. The first looks at international trade: it shows its role in contemporary economies and introduces some models to understand it. The second analyses the origin and the working of the European Monetary Union, with a focus on how the European Central Bank and the European Commission have managed the economic crises.

Examination Methods
A written examination with 4 open questions.
There is an interim exam, which accounts for 50% of the final marks. Those who passed this exam are exempted for the section already covered for the first and second exams in the Summer session.
