Learning outcomes

The course, which is completely held in German, is aimed at analysing authors, literary movements and texts of German literature from the 18th Century to Romanticism. At the end of the course students will be able to approach the texts from an intermedial and intercultural perspective and to properly express their knowledge in German language.

Program

Il Corso è strutturato in un unico modulo (didattica frontale) e si svolge interamente in lingua tedesca. Verranno trattati i seguenti argomenti:
- Gli sviluppi della descrizione di viaggio e dell’ecfrasi in Germania tra Illuminismo e Romanticismo
- Il nesso tra percezione sensoriale, scrittura e lettura
- La capacità del codice verbale di evocare immagini (enargeia)

Gli studenti non frequentanti avranno la possibilità di concordare con il docente un programma che, tralasciando l’opera di W. Heinse, approfondisce criticamente l’aspetto della letteratura di viaggio.

Examination Methods

The final oral exam is in German. It is aimed at testing the knowledge of all topics dealt with during the course and in particular at testing
- The depth and breadth of students’ knowledge
- Students’ ability to analyse and understand literary texts
- Students’ ability to discuss and connect different topics in a literary and intersemiotic perspective
- Students’ speaking ability in German
The final evaluation is expressed in marks out of thirty.
