Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be able to: - describe the grammatical phenomena of the Russian language by using an adequate linguistic terminology, both in Italian and in Russian; - apply formal linguistic concepts to the different levels of analysis of the Russian language; - think critically on linguistic issues related to the acquisition and teaching of Russian as a Foreign Language.
Program
The course unfolds in the following sections:
1. Levels of analysis of the Russian language (phonetics, morphology, syntax, discourse-pragmatics) and linguistic terminology;
2. Sociolinguistics: research methodology, the status of the Russian language in the post-Soviet countries;
3. Pragmatics: Politeness Theory, interaction between aspect and politeness, the pragmatics of requests, teaching pragmatics.
