Learning outcomes

The course introduces the student to the understanding of the determinants of health. It aims to know how to deal with risk factors applying prevention strategies both at the individual and collective level. It also aims to understand the causes, the pathogenic mechanisms, and methods of prevention and control of infectious disease MICROBIOLOGY AND CLINICAL MICROBIOLOGY: The student should know the structural and biological properties of bacteria, fungi, protozoa and viruses and the related mechanism of pathogenesis. Moreover, the student should know the major microorganisms involved in infectious diseases and the methods of infection diagnosis. HYGIENE AND PUBLIC HEALTH (METODOLOGIA EPIDEMIOLOGICA E IGIENE GENERALE): At the end of the course the student should be able to accomplish the following objectives: -acknowledge determinants of health and risk factors of disease -acknowledge both individual and collective prevention strategies of diseases -understanding interventions aimed at promoting the safety of health workers and patients/citizens. -understanding the causes, pathogenetic mechanisms and methods of prevention and control of infection diseases NURSING (PROMOZIONE DELLA SALUTE E DELLA SICUREZZA IN CONTESTI ASSISTENZIALI): The course introduces the student to the understanding of the determinants of health, risk factors, prevention strategies both individual and collective, and of interventions to promote the health and safety of their users. It also aims to understand the causes, the pathogenic mechanisms, and methods of prevention and control of infectious diseases. OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE (SICUREZZA NEGLI AMBIENTI DI LAVORO): To acquire basic knowledge and understanding on health and safety prevention and health promotion and management in workplaces. To acquire, through field examples, knowledge and understanding about general principles of occupational health, risk assessment, health surveillance, fitness for work, health education, legislation, with reference to different risk factors (e.g., chemicals, physical agents, biohazards, ergonomics, organization and psychosocial factors, injuries). Attention will be dedicated to let the student acquire knowledge and understanding about the roles of the different professionals and institutions committed to prevention. The student will acquire knowledge and awareness on the main risk factors, adverse effects and their prevention in the professional activities of nursing and will gain awareness on the role of nurse in educating persons on health and safety issues in workplaces.

Program

The program includes:
1) study of methods to ensure an effective physical and psychosocial environment for patient safety;
2) study of the practices of protection from physical, chemical and biological risks in the workplace and adopt precautions for the manual handling of loads;
3) study of the main agents responsible for infectious diseases, methods of transmission of the same and clinical manifestations;
4) study of the strategies to be adopted to prevent the infectious risk in health and community settings;
5) study of management and preventive and assistance interventions aimed at assisted persons, family and community oriented towards the promotion of health and safety.

Examination Methods

Inglese IN LINGUA INGLESE
The exam consists in 4 different modules (Clinical Microbiology, Epidemiological Methodology, Occupational Safety and Health Promotion in Care Environments) in written form, according to the indications present in the different teaching modules. At the student's choice, the 4 modules can be performed all in the same section or divided into 2 parts: Module A (Clinical Microbiology and Epidemiology Methodology) and Module B (Safety at work and Health Promotion in care environments). In this second case, the module to be considered positive only if both tests has a sufficient mark (18/30)

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

COMUNICAZIONE DEL PRESIDENTE DEL COLLEGIO DIDATTICO

Carissime Studentesse,

Carissimi Studenti,

di seguito un promemoria relativo alle modalità di erogazione della didattica per il corso di studio in Infermieristica A.A. 2022/2023.

In ottemperanza alle linee guida della Commissione didattica di Ateneo, che prevedono una didattica improntata ad un pieno recupero delle modalità regolari di erogazione in presenza, la Commissione didattica del CdL nella seduta del 29 settembre 2022, ha deliberato il pieno ritorno all’utilizzo della didattica frontale in presenza.

Solo nei casi di comprovata positività al COVID-19, e/o in situazioni di particolare fragilità (sempre correlate alla pandemia) sarà previsto il collegamento sincrono in  modalità streaming; a tal proposito ogni Docente, sulla propria pagina web, darà chiare indicazioni sulla modalità di fruizione della didattica.

La modalità asincrona (registrazioni delle lezioni) non è prevista.

La domanda di iscrizione part-time può essere presentata all'inizio di ogni anno accademico e comunque entro il 30 novembre di ogni anno. Entro lo stesso termine, se necessario, lo studente potrà richiedere di tornare al regime full-time. La richiesta va inviata via PEC alla mail ufficio.protocollo@pec.univr.it .
