Learning outcomes
The aim of oral pathology is to analyze and make possible the diagnostic recognition of the most common oral cavity diseases, providing the student with an adequate knowledge of the macro and micro-anatomical aspects of diseases of the human mouth. Through the analysis of multiple clinical cases, it is possible to acquire the ability to develop a correct diagnostic and therapeutic procedure. PRACTICAL ACTIVITY IN ORAL PATHOLOGY MODULE Educational goals: Attendance supplemented by images and topics of clinical cases in order to train the students to diagnostic capacity through an understanding of the physiological, paraphysiological and pathological conditions of soft tissues, teeth and bone. Discussion of different possible clinical questions that may arise during the professional life. ORAL PATHOLOGY MODULE Educational goals. Oral pathology studies the macro and micro-anatomical aspects of diseases of the mouth.The aim of the course is the diagnostic recognition of the most common diseases of the oral cavity through a systematic clinical-diagnostic method, which accustoms the student to follow a coded one, reducing the chances of diagnostic error. This course highlights the responsibilities of the future dentist, regarding the consequences of incorrect diagnosis and therapy.
Program
Oral pathology studies the macro and micro-anatomical aspects of man's mouth disease. The purpose of the course is to make diagnostic recognition of the most common oral cavity diseases possible, providing in particular a systematic clinical-diagnostic method that will accustom students to follow a coded iter, reducing the margin of error diagnosis.
During the course, the responsibilities of the future dentist are highlighted, as to the consequences of an incorrect diagnosis, an unrecognizable potentially malignant disorder, a misdiagnosed therapy, or a therapeutic delay, resulting in a possible increase in mortality.
