Learning outcomes
The course intends to offer a range of theoretical and methodological tools to prepare the inventory of the remains and the possible reconstruction of a lost representative event through a detailed examination of what it is possible to collect, store and catalogue of a live performance once this ephemeral event is ended.
Program
Lectures will be structured in a thematic way and will address methodological issues related to different chronological periods and to specific museum and / or archival conservation spaces:
1.The Commedia dell’Arte and the Herla project in Mantua.
2. The Amateurs’ Theatre in Verona in the second part of Eighteenth century and the Accademia Filarmonica archive.
3. Puppets theatre from Nineteenth to Twentieth century in the Nino Pozzo and MusaLab archives.
4. American Avant-garde and the archive of La Mama Theatre in New York.

All lessons will have a total duration of three academic hours from 3:40 pm to 7:00 pm.
During theoretical lessons students will acquire the necessary skills to understand the different nature of the many coefficients proposed by a prose show, meanwhile during laboratory lessons they will test their ability to put into practice what they have learnt.
Attendance is compulsory for at least 80% of the lessons.
