Module’s aim is to teach students about available techniques for measuring variables featuring physical activity and metabolic expenditure.

Topics: physical activity and metabolic expenditure, pedometry, accelerometry, heart rate monitors, calorimetry, doubly labelled water method, GPS receivers, GIS systems, DGPS receivers, portable multi-sensor systems, IMU systems, TurfTrax, RFID systems.
