Didactic methods
The course is structured in lectures and exercises in the computer lab. Each topic will be treated first from a theoretical point of view and then from an empirical point of view. Applications will be based on real data. The use of the R software will be proposed.
Learning assessment procedures
The exam is divided into two tests: a project and a written test aimed to assess the knowledge of the econometric techniques illustrated during the lectures and the ability to apply these tools to concrete cases through the use of the R software.
Evaluation criteria
The evaluation criteria will be based on the written test, and a project
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
A written test is expected consisting of a multiple choice section and a practical section, as well as a project of a concrete case. In case of not taking the course, the exam will be based on different problem sets to be solved in R as well as a written test
