Learning objectives

Al termine del ciclo di incontri, gli studenti dovrebbero aver acquisito la capacità di elaborare una sintesi chiara di un articolo divulgativo o scientifico, nonché una visione critica che li possa spingere ad analizzare la validità delle argomentazioni in esso contenute, evidenziandone i punti deboli e suggerendo quali dati e informazioni sarebbero stati necessari per fornire una visione completa ai lettori. Gli studenti dovrebbero anche aver acquisito elementi utili per la corretta organizzazione del testo, delle argomentazioni e della bibliografia di una tesi di laurea.

Program

Questa attività si propone di introdurre gli studenti alle principali aree di ricerca dell’economia applicata, con la lettura e analisi critica di articoli di giornale (di ambito economico e finanziario sul Sole 24 Ore, il Corriere della Sera ecc.) e di riviste scientifiche. Inoltre, si introdurranno gli studenti ad alcuni dei principali giochi di laboratorio di economia sperimentale quali: Dictator Game, Public Good Game, Money Burning Game, scelta tra lotterie, battaglia dei sessi, Chicken Game, Gift Exchange Game, Volunteer’s Dilemma, Diner’s Dilemma, Peace War Game. Questo permetterà una comparazione critica tra i comportamenti dell'homo oeconomicus e i comportamenti che l'uomo tiene nella realtà.
Successivamente, gli studenti saranno introdotti alla scrittura formale della loro tesi di Laurea, sia per ciò che concerne la struttura di una tesi, evidenziando le caratteristiche delle parti principali (introduzione, revisione della letteratura, dati, analisi, conclusione, bibliografia), sia per ciò che concerne le tecniche di scrittura (come rendere interessante e fluente ciò che viene scritto).

Didactic methods

Il corso denominato "Analisi critica delle informazioni economiche e preparazione alla Tesi" ("Economic Thinking and Academic Writing") è un'attività (facoltativa) di tipologia f che permette l'assegnazione, tramite prova di accertamento finale, di 2 CFU.
- Sono previste 14 ore di attività con i docenti del corso.
- L'attività didattica è disponibile solo agli studenti regolarmente iscritti all'anno accademico 2022/2023.
- Tutti gli studenti dei CdL e CdLM del Dipartimento di Management e del Dipartimento di Scienze Economiche possono iscriversi. In caso di limitazione del numero dei posti disponibili, le richieste di partecipazione a tale attività verranno soddisfatte in base all’ordine cronologico di iscrizione.
- L’attività sarà erogata nel secondo semestre; è previsto un unico corso.
Il calendario delle lezioni sarà reso disponibile appena possibile. La prima lezione è prevista per lunedì 13 marzo 2023.

La procedura di iscrizione si trova sulla piattaforma elearning (Moodle) del corso. Gli studenti senza credenziali informatiche di Ateneo (GIA) possono richiedere di essere iscritti mandando una email al docente. Tutti gli altri studenti devono obbligatoriamente utilizzare la procedura su Moodle. Si ricorda che per sostenere la prova finale è necessario inserire l'attività nel piano di studio (libretto).

Si ricorda che i laureandi di aprile 2023 non possono partecipare e richiedere l'accreditamento di cfu per la presente attività, in quanto si tratta di un'erogazione 2022/2023, mentre la sessione di laurea di aprile 2023 si riferisce all'a.a. 2021/2022.
Gli studenti regolarmente iscritti all'a.a. 2022/2023 sono tenuti a inserire l'attività a libretto.

La prova di accertamento del profitto consiste in brevi commenti ad una serie di articoli (da svolgersi in itinere) e in una relazione finale.

CONTAMINATION LAB 

The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations.

Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU (D- or F-type credits).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the December and April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.
