Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning objectives
The laboratory aims to provide students with the basic knowledge of methodologies and technologies for the design and creation of websites. At the end of the laboratory the students: - will know the basic principles of usability, accessibility, internationalization, compatibility, privacy, and security of a website; - will be able to design and build a website following a correct methodology and an appropriate use of fundamental technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS); - will be able to enable simple user interactions in a website (e.g., JavaScript); - will be able to use and manage a Content Management System (CMS) for the creation of websites.

The workshop is organised into two modules: the first is focused on lectures and practical activities; the second is dedicated to designing and implementing a prototype of a website.
Module 1, theoretical and practical lessons:
- the Internet and the web: communication protocols, accessibility and usability standards;
- web technologies: HTML + CSS, Content Management Systems;
- web design fundamentals: layout, color schemas, fonts; multimedia;
- contents: GDPR, copyright and licenses;
- designing and creating a website: from requirements gathering to deployment;
Module 2, practical activities: implementation of a website:
- design: requirements gathering, structuring contents;
- implementation: development of a prototype (by HTML+CSS or using a CMS).

Didactic methods
The laboratory is structured in lectures and practical activities. During the 36-hour course, students will learn the fundamentals of web publishing, test some of the main technologies and develop a project on their own.
Methods of teaching support:
Materials and resources will be provided during the course as support to the lectures, and uploaded on the Moodle page of the same. Tutoring will also be provided by the lecturer, who will follow the students in the development of their personal work and project also via the web, through the sharing of documents and editing/publication tools.
Learning assessment procedures
Attendance and student contribution to class is strongly encouraged. The exam consists in the presentation and discussion of a project and prototype of a website created by applying the acquired knowledge (students must demonstrate that they have understood the topics covered). For documents delivery, the instructions on the moodle platform must be followed.
Evaluation criteria
Delivery of assignments, correctness of answers with respect to examination questions.

CFU F
I CFU F sono solitamente relativi ad abilità informatiche, competenze linguistiche, stage e tirocini e ulteriori attività formative accreditate in questa tipologia dal Collegio Didattico.
Nel corso di laurea in Lingue e letterature per l’editoria e i media digitali sono previste le seguenti tipologie:
- 3 CFU per terza lingua (livello B1)
- 6 CFU per tirocinio obbligatorio
- 3 CFU per informatica (curriculum Editoria)
- 9 CFU per laboratori (curriculum Digital Humanities).
Le competenze informatiche possono essere acquisite attraverso:
- il superamento della prova pratica presso le aule informatiche di Ateneo,
- la frequenza dei corsi attivati da scuole e centri accreditati dall’AICA (Associazione Italiana per l’Informatica e il Calcolo Automatico) o riconosciuti dalla Provincia e dalla Regione e superamento della relativa prova finale. Le domande per il riconoscimento delle competenze informatiche acquisite precedentemente vengono esaminate dalla Commissione per il riconoscimento delle Competenze Informatiche.Le attività di tirocinio sono finalizzate a far acquisire allo studente una conoscenza diretta nel settore editoriale e delle Digital Humanities nonché abilità specifiche d’interesse professionale (revisione bozze, grafica editoriale, costruzione di pagine web, archivi digitali etc.).

Stage e tirocini
Nel piano didattico della laurea triennale in Lingue e letterature per l’editoria e i media digitali (L11 ED-DH) è previsto un tirocinio/stage obbligatorio (CFU 6).
Le attività di stage sono finalizzate a far acquisire allo studente una conoscenza diretta in settori di particolare interesse per l’inserimento nel mondo del lavoro e per l’acquisizione di abilità professionali specifiche.
Le attività di stage sono svolte sotto la diretta responsabilità di un singolo docente presso studi professionali, enti della pubblica amministrazione, aziende accreditate dall’Ateneo veronese.
I crediti maturati in seguito ad attività di stage saranno attribuiti secondo quanto disposto nel dettaglio dal “Regolamento d’Ateneo per il riconoscimento dei crediti maturati negli stage universitari” vigente.
