Learning objectives

Knowing the fundamental techniques applied for improving the motor performances through action imagination: the so-called “mental training”. Knowing the fundamental ways to apply mental training considering different populations: healthy people or people with neuro-motor pathologies (stroke, Parkinson, amputees). Knowing the fundamental procedure utilized for testing the ability to anticipate and to preprogram actions. The student will acquire knowledge about the main techniques used to analyze and improve the performance and its determinants through laboratory and field instruments. Based to this the student will plan and implement training models.

Prerequisites and basic notions

Students must have knowledge of biomechanics, neurophysiology and motor control and learning as well as basics knowledge of exercise physiology

Criteria for the composition of the final grade

The exam will be divided into two parts: the part concerning human movement planning and control and the part concerning methods and didactics of physical preparation. The final grade will be the average between these two .
