Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to lead students to be able to understand and analyse capital budget techniques and the implications of financial structure choices of sport investments and sport companies. The course also aims to provide the basic knowledge of valuation techniques for sport companies. At the end of the course, students will be able to analyse and critically evaluate the financial dynamics of sport enterprises.

Program
The course is divided into two parts. The first has the objective of providing the basic elements for understanding the economic-financial dynamics of a company and the main capital budgeting techniques. The second part aims to develop knowledge related to the evaluation of investments and the investment strategy of sport companies.
1st Part - Quantification of financial needs and related determinants:
- Balance sheet and financial ratios;
- Cash flow analysis: objectives, meaning and construction; -
Economic and financial forecasting: objectives, significance, correlation with business strategies; - Parameters for forecasting;
- The construction of the forecast budget;
2nd part:
- Investment valuation methods;
- The structure of the financial markets;
- the transition from an accounting point of view to a market point of view.
