Learning objectives
ANESTHESIA IN CARDIAC SURGERY. Educational objectives: techniques of anesthesia in cardiac surgery, brief history on the evolution of cardiac anesthesia CARDIAC SURGERY 1 Educational objectives: to learn clinical indications, techniques and materials of extracorporeal cicrculation, either in surgical and intesive-care scenarios, including also those methods employed for cardiorespiratory support (ECLS). Either adult and pediatric methods, techniques and materials will be acknowledged. Finally, research and developments of innovative methods and instruments will be discussed. CARDIAC SURGERY 2: Educational objectives: to learn all aspects of the acquired cardiac diseases of surgical interest. Knowledge of indications and contraindications to surgery. Learn the cardiovascular physiology underlying acquired surgical diseases of the heart and great vessels, even before and after surgical correction. Principles of surgical techniques and cardiovascular perfusion techniques of acquired disease. METHODS AND TECHNIQUES OF CARDIOPULMONARY BYPASS 1. Educational objectives: to learn theoretical and practical fundamentals to extracorporeal circulation, methodological approaches, and related complications. Brief historical report on the evolution of Extracoproreal circulation. METHODS AND TECHNIQUES OF CARDIOPULMONARY BYPASS 2.
